The 31 pictures of beautiful hair and face drawing and some body features. One sided pictures no black page on back. Feels like some tooth is in the paper. One negative is that the book is bent and has a small tear in the middle. The package it came in was not bent nor has a tear at all. That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

As always the illustrator did a great job at capturing the female form. This is a super cute book for great colorist or first beginners as well! The images are single sided, However the paper is thin so use some type of card stock paper in between the pages. Don’t hesitate to buy this book!

When I first viewed the opening pages of this book, I thought the plates were poor and the content sophomoric at best. I have been drawing my whole life and consider myself a pretty good judge of how-to books on the subject. (That's about as snooty as I get from here on in.)What I found most positive and compelling about this book is that Barber is not trying to show you how well he can draw, which when an artist really shows what he's got can be somwhat intimdating for newbees. His plates are more diagramatic and give just the right amount of information so that the student's work will actually in certain cases be superior to the teacher's. We know this guy can draw but he takes himself out of the ego equation I feel, by doing this. A second point is that I have begun how-to drawing books and been stopped by the first couple of pages in that the works were more complex than I really felt I had the chops for. That book in short got shelved for a time when I reached that pinnacle of skill where I could approach the work again undaunted. Barber's approach of simple marks leading to more complex mark-making in the way of simple flower shapes, heads, hands and feet and perspective are all done in such a progressive fashion that one finds oneself caught up in the act of being in "Art Class." Bravo!

I am using this book in Kendal form to help me teach my Grand kids and daughter. We have purchased several copies and are use this as an ongoing training resource.The step by step training exercised and explanations of why to do what and what is being learned help even the youngest to not be so bored, {Wax On/Wax Off}

The pictures in this book are done well and the method is explained well. Shown in easy to grasp stages, drawing is broken down to assist in learning how to draw. Good for beginner wanting to learn and pros who might want to get another perspective on drawing or to hone some of their skills, I recommend this book.

I had a book by this author and worked my way through it. That book was good-but this one is better. It takes you through some great lessons and you really get so much better as you practice. I am 1/3 of the way into the lessons and have been happy with my progress.

Excellent resource. Easy to follow and will put motivated person on the path to drawing well.

Practice! Practice!

This book is MASSIVE and packed full of AWESOME lessons. It is an essential requirement to any advancing artists library, at any skill level.

The characters, drama and storyline flow well in this book. But the book would benefit from having an editor/proofreader as it disrupts the flow because you have to figure out what she is saying when the incorrect word is used.

This book is full of grammar and or typo errors and can get extremely annoying, would have been a 5 star story otherwise. It’s a good read with enough twist and turns to keep you reading. But the constant errors drove me nuts. Happy reading!

Baylee wanted to escape her fathers rules. He was a mean, hateful man. He didn’t want Baylee with Austen and Flynn, because they weren’t good for his image, he was mayor and a corrupt one at that. HEA does eventually happen.

Enjoyed reading this book and reading about the characters and their story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is the fifth borrowed book by Sullivan. I am reading them all, in order to be fair. I bought 1 book, and just out of a sense of not contributing any more unearned $$ to this writer , I have borrowed from others. I think I've stated in every review that the story holds some promise, but the female character is always the big B. with an attitude to match. That in itself is never becoming. But what stands out the most with Sullivan's efforts is the horrid writing and word usage. I've never witnessed such poor writing that I am surprised Amazon would put it out there. Do yourself a favor and go to an English class and one on writing well.

Austen & Flynn are simple ranchers that meet "the one" when they meet Baylee. But her father is the crooked Mayor of their town and he doesn't like not getting his way. But Austen & Flynn don't go down easy and their love for Baylee outshines everything else.

So far so all of the books that I have read I have really enjoyed. I like the characters, the story and the but of humor every now and again. The only criticism I have is the fact that the cover doesn't match the characters in there book. I sometimes use the cover to get a better idea in my head what the author is describing. For example in this book Baylee is described as having long black hair and the cover girl is a redhead. Just a pet peeve I have. Keep up the good work Shae, I love your books.

This is a good story, but editting errors and lack of research made it difficult for me to read and stay in the story. Misspelled words, missing words, not knowing about recovering from open heart surgery.
