I see many reviews commenting on the author's wanna be gangsta persona and I agree to some extent. Tommy comes across more as the rouge businessman than a mobster but he still wants the same respect.Setting all that aside and just looking at the story though, tommy's case is interesting. He was actually a really shrewd businessman who chose the wrong path in life. It is obvious in the book that he regrets it which adds a touch of lament to the book.Towards the end of the book I really started to appreciate this guy and his story. I was feeling his pain for the mistakes he had made. He was out of control.If you like stories about people's interesting lives buy this book. Tommy had a unique life. Thank's for sharing your story.
Don’t waste your time or money on this self aggrandizing book. The coke and booze must have addled TJG’s brain and memory. His feeble attempt at contrition utilizing childhood abuse and “NJ†tough guy shtick is simply not enough to cover up his next con setup to a new set of victims. Perhaps some of his past victims can offer a fuller picture and sequel to correct recall of where he has hidden his millions stolen from hapless investors.
Great to unwind. You won’t put it down. It’s a glimpse at a real world right under our noses, and a story of how the lusts of human nature regularly sabotage. No question crime doesn’t pay, but your left wondering if, in the new chapter, great talents are put to work on the up and up, maybe even a greater good.
I could not put this book down! It is so amazingly written, by how it was written from Toms perspective himself it just captures all the feelings and experiences he went through which is just jaw-dropping. Highly recommend it.loved every chapter of it.

What I really liked was that I had to remind myself throughout the book that this is a true story. Simply mind blowing. I’m glad he was able to go in-depth about his mom and especially his father. I could understand why he did what he did. Not sure how I would of turned out if I had a dad like Mr. Giacomaro. Easy read. Kept my interest throughout the entire book. Absolutely a 5 star recommend read!
The book reads like a roller coaster of emotions as it portrays the authors life and the story of a kid from Jersey that had the ambition and intelligence to see in business what no one else could see, while dealing with his internal emotional struggles. This is not another Jersey story, it is so much more.
This book was an absolute rollercoaster. If you like the Sopranos, The Godfather, Catch me if You Can or any crime series...buy this book. I had to remind myself through the entire read that it was real and he actually lived this life. Despite knowing his crimes, you end up loving Tom. You will not regret reading/buying this book.
