My kids LOVE Brain Quest products. I bough these cards as something to do while we were waiting (during appt or in line at the store). My kids actually prefer to play these during dinner time. Seeing who could come up with the answer the quickest.If you purchase these cards look into the workbooks too! I bought them for my kids as summer "homework" to keep their minds going. It is in no way a punishment (as most homework seems to be). My kids love doing the workbooks and always end up doing a couple pages more than asked.My kids are 8 (second grade) and 10 (forth grade).

My second grader loves to do trivia activities, so when I remembered Brain Quest from my childhood, I knew he would love it! He gets so excited to sit down and get quizzed. The questions are a good mix of challenging and easy, and he doesn't get bored of them. I love that it presents a great learning opportunity for him, and that there are so many good questions for us to keep going to. It really doesn't get old.

Brain Quest has been a favorite in our house for a few years now. I find this format very easy to use with my son and it's a welcome change from traditional workbooks. The only reason for the less-than-perfect rating is it seems a bit easy for the recommended grade level. My son has just finished second grade and Brain Quest Grade 3 feels more like a review for what they had learned already. We will use it as a summer bridge activity and then switch to Grade 4 cards. Still love it and highly recommend.

We have been using these in the car on long trips and even while standing in the TSA line at the airport. What a great purchase and the kids really enjoy being quizzed. My husband and I are learning a thing or two as well!

My third grade class loves these cards! I play it as a class when we get free time at the end of the game. They are have updated questions for current topics the kids are learning in all subjects. It makes reviewing fun!

I love these decks for summer review and family trivia game time. It's wonderful that they come by different age and grade so I can customize a trivia game for each kid. Fun and fair...everybody wins!

We LOVE these things! We always keep these around for each year that my kids are old. They're great time passers in the car, or waiting at the drs office. Or for some fun family trivia. The categories are good, and the questions are always age appropriate. Our family loves them.

Our kids love these cards, the questions are age appropriate and some are challenging. The lugs grab them all the time to be quizzed, and they are even testing better in school. I loved them as a kid so I was so happy my kids loved them too!

Not only was Libby the first female winner of the Iditarod, but she succeeded as a good story writer. One feels she takes you along with her through this challenging and grueling journey. She is one tough gal, but her compassion toward her dog team shows. Even though she is tired and faces many obstacles, she still takes the time to rest her dogs, feed them, and tend to them to be sure they are not being driven beyond their capabilities. I strongly recommend this book as many of us are not aware of this tough, gritty breed of individuals not afraid to get out there and do what seems unimaginable.

I found with book a wonderful and easy read. I am an Iditarod fan and finished this book just as the 2019 Iditarod Dog Sled Race from Anchorage to Nome Alaska began. The book really got me geared up for the race. For anyone wanting to learn more about this wonderful sport of the northwest, this is a book to get your hands on. The experiences that Libby Riddle had back when she was the first woman winning of the race were the same weather wise and the racers this year had. An FYI third and fourth place winners were WOMEN. Way to go. Read the book. Check out the 2020 Iditarod beginning the first Saturday in March.

Libby was an inspiration to women all over the world when she won the "last great race" in 1985. This book is told through her eyes, as she goes down the Iditarod trail. I read it preparing to go see the Iditarod start. It helped me understand the mindset of these amazing (slightly nutty) mushers.I enjoyed the description of each leg of the race. It almost makes you want to find your own team and hit the trail. I also liked the information she shares about Iditarod rules (warming food, foot care, equipment) and the people at the checkpoints. I had heard mushers are the "rock stars" of Alaska, and from all the support they get on the trail, they may be.One thing that I've heard about Libby from other sources is that she took exceptional care of her dogs. All mushers do, but she went above and beyond, and the book goes into detail. You really get to see what super stars these little guys are, and I felt how proud she was when they crossed the finish.If you liked this one, read Winterdance: The Fine Madness of Running the Iditarod. It's more humorous, but also gives great insight to the race.

Ms. Riddles book, with the added date in the clever lay-out of the pages, is a wonderful read.I came out of it feeling like I'd not only gotten a rich experience of her life-risking and record making Race across Alaska,but a much deeper appreciation and understanding of what every Iditarod racer has taken on.A wonderful read.

This absorbing first narrative person covers the whole two and a half trying weeks of Ms. Riddles' amazing win of the Iditarod., "The Last Great Race," in 1985 as the first woman musher to do so. You will laugh, cry, sweat and gnaw your nails as the story unfolds. At least I gained a whole new perspective on this grueling trek and what it takes to complete it, never mind win! I can only say well done on both the feat and the story about it.

Libby Riddle gave a good talk on her Iditarod experiences when we were on an Alaska cruise in 2012. I bought a book and she signed it for me. Another lady we know had an interest in the race, and in dogs. We bought a copy and gave it to that lady as a present and she also loved the book.

I’d love to review this book, but can’t. I purchased this book for my husband about a woman who ran the Iditarod.... the sticker on the back of th book has the right title, but the book that it’s attached to is certainly not about a sled dog race!!! 😳 Funny surprise, but the book is going back.

I loved reading Libby's account of her Iditarod race. I'm an Iditarod fan and this was an exciting book to read.
